A couple of the more helpful reviews we’ve come across are:
I own all of the Lego games (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, and now Harry Potter), and I have yet to be disappointed. They all have different levels of difficulty, but most people buy them bc they like the franchise, so they’re always fun.
Regarding Harry Potter in particular, it has more game play outside of the story than the other games–you can roam the castle and grounds and find lots of stuff. The stories scenes in between the levels are pretty long and you can’t skip them, but that’s really my only complaint.
Oh… and there’s a glitch that I can warn you about. DO NOT try to enter Gryffindor tower as anyone else but a Gryffindor. It doesn’t allow you to enter, then it blocks all further entry through the whole game. This also makes it so you can never reach 100% completion.
My 12 year old son has been begging for this game and was excited to find it under the tree! Watching him play it is so much fun.
It teaches spells and how to brew potions. Relive the first four Harry Potter movies and you don’t need to be 12 to enjoy it. I play it too…I love legos and I love Harry Potter.
Play as the characters, over 100 of them. Good graphics, challenging configurations. This Wii game will keep the movies alive for a long time.
LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 is not a new release but with Harry Potter still gaining new fans you can be sure it will remain a popular game for years to come.
